If possible, tape the news broadcast, and stop or slow down during the replay. If the announcers slow down, then, can repeat what you watch.
Another method is watch English DVD with Chinese subtitle turn off. When the characters who is facing the camera when they talk, then, you can pause the conversation. Repeat what you heard. If you do not understand the meanings of what was said, then, go back, and reply with Chinese subtitle turn on.
