As of 2003, Dion has performed nightly in her show A New Day... at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, under a contract that extends through December 2007. Dion's music has been influenced by various genres, which range from pop and rock to gospel and classical, and she is noted for her technically skilled and powerful vocals.

Next Friday is my grandpa's birthday, but I don't know what to give him. My friends helped me. We went to shopping together in a big mall, and looked for suitable things to give my grandpa as a birthday gift. But at first we found nothing. My friends and I were very tired. I almost gave up. But my friends encouraged me to go on, they said that they weren't really tired, and that they would stay with me until I find a good present. I was so touched. I love my friends so much!! Finally, after shopping for hours in the busy mall, we found a painting of a swan. My grandpa loves swans! And I believe that he will love this painting, too. The painting wasn't cheap, I spent all of my allowance on it. But I was happy. Thinking about my grandpa's happy face made me happy. I thanked my friends and bought them each an ice-cream. Now I'm very happy! Can't wait until grandpa's birthday!
