Settling Chambers
8 The simplest devices for controlling particulates are settling chambers .
9 These are nothing more than wide places in the exhaust flue where larger particles can settle out of the exhaust gas stream.
10 They are usually equipped with a baffle to slow the gas stream.
Obviously,only very large particulates(>100um) can be efficiently removed in settling chambers.
