杀手获英国权威音乐杂志NME颁发NME音乐奖-2005最佳国际乐队。他们的大碟Hot Fuss曾登上英国金榜两周冠军宝座。U2乐团主音歌手博诺(Bono)，埃尔顿·约翰、大卫·鲍伊及杜兰杜兰都曾经赞赏他们的音乐。
