所谓"
Britpop"，可以直接翻译成“英式摇滚”或“英伦摇滚”。他们是一批受60年代Beatles优美旋律，70年代Punk乐的粗糙随意感觉及GlamRock乐风和80年代New Wave，90年代初Baggy影响的，以吉它作基础的，吉它-贝司-鼓模式的摇滚乐队。音乐风格清新流畅，节奏轻盈，旋律悦耳，可以看作是延续Beatles 前期曲风的当代英国摇滚乐。
