you need to upgrade your X then. There's many X packages that get installed when you first install linux. If it were me, I'd download these packages (which is basically all the patched packages):

Then in order to install this upgrade, use this command as root:
rpm -Uvh *.rpm
If you want to see if the upgrade would succeed, run this command, as any user:
rpm -Uvh --test *.rpm
