What do you prefer, mail or email?Yesterday I accompanied my son to a post office to mail a letter to my parents, actually it was one of his homework, he was asked to write a letter , then send them, after that, he had to write the process of sending.
For him, it’s the first time to mail a letter, so he shows a little exciting , but for me, it seems to visit an old friend who used to be familiar with me, not now. I can’t remember how long I have not mailed a letter since we have got phone at home and now internet is available as well.
Probably, nowadays, people seldom write letter on paper for they have many communicating tools, you possibly greet to your friends and lover anytime through mobile phone even you are not at home, at the same time, it’s possible for you to get in touch with your customer on business by internet if you have a notebook computer. All these communication are much faster than mailing a letter in post office. However, have you considered their shortcoming when you are enjoying their quick service? For example, you could not talk too long by phone, furthermore, not all words could be told through phone; for email, none of us has ever not been annoyed by some unknown or rubbish letters. Maybe the worst thing is you send your email wrong or you have received a letter you should not open it.
I have met a girl who told me a love story happened on net. She met a guy in a chatting room, and they did have some good time there, gradually, they seemed to have fallen love with each other, at least, the girl thought so. Till one day, the girl got a letter from her beloved guy, however, the letter was supposed to another girl instead of her, when she read those familiar hot words, she finally realized the guy had another lovely girl besides her. Then what could happen? A love story ended. Perhaps that guy just regretted he ought not to be careless. If he sent it in a post office, possibly he would not make the same mistake in spite of his unfaithfulness. Of course, this kind of this won’t happen to all of us , but it’s possible to send email wrong by mistake sometimes, for it’s easy to type wrong if the first letter of email address happens to be the same.
Compared to email, receiving a letter by mail is much slower Especially for those business men or lover, waiting is the worst thing for them. On the other hand, it has its own advantage which email could not replace, I think.
I am sure each of you has the experience to mail letter in post office. I did, and in fact, so many good memories have been stored in my heart through it. I won’t forget the moment I mailed to my parents telling them I was safe to my school by train. I won’t forget the exciting time when I saw a letter with familiar characters on my bed , for it was from my dear lover- my boy friend at that time. I still remember that day when I went to the post office to mail a big and heavy envelop, I blushed as the girl asked me what was in it, for all in it were letters to my boy friend, I had to keep them for half a month because I did not know his address till he reached his destination. I almost wrote to him everyday since he left, so it has been accumulated a pile when I eventually received his letter. His colleague envied him when he got that big envelop. I could imagine how happy he was when he opened it. I wanted my letter to be with him while we were apart. So we had been connected by mail. Small envelops contained unlimited emotion flying to the right man. I love this feeling. What about you? My dear friend, what do you prefer, mail or email?
