Hongen--My mental paradise
It was in last April that I login hongen.com, which a friend of mine suggested me, while I was free as my Ielts test was just finished. But it is the forum that let me really step into hongen world, and Canuck’s comment is a door for me to know hongen.com, it is David who has opened the door with wisdom and friendship . As I read pieces of well-written articles and David’s sincere response to them on the column, many thoughts and ideas came out of my mind, too. So I began to write and posted some of my english passages there. But it was out of my expectation that it would become one part of my life. More than four hundreds articles of mine have been written and posted in Canuck’s comments since then, seven of them has been honored five stars, nine praised four stars, forty-eight given three stars…. Though the number could not tell everything, it shows I love this forum and I am a supporter of hongen.com. At least the number could tell you that I am a fan of hongen.com. At the same time, Hongen has affected me much and changed me a lot.
Before I logined hongen.com, I thought I was a machine without no emotion, working and studying all day, heavy work and high pressure of life almost killed my ambition and enthusiasm toward life, I thought it was my whole and real life to deal with those endless work every day when I got up. Many people said I was a workaholic who never knew enjoyment and amusement, I seemed to get used to this till I visited Canuck’s comments, it’s like a fresh air and a soft wind which warms my heart and refreshes my mind. I like its topics, especially its atmosphere, the host David is just like a father, all of the cyber friends who post their articles in the forum are like the members of a family, they call each other sisters or brothers, they discuss all kinds of topics, such as the future of the earth and human beings, how to find a good job, how to get a good boy or girl friend, how to learn English, how to see to cyber love, ….. almost everything happened in our life. These meaningful topics could always arouse peoples’ over thinking , furthermore, they could be encouraged or praised from that. All encouragement and praise seem more precious for them when it is from a native English speaker, their host David who came from Canada, for most of the writers try to express their thoughts in a foreign language which is not familiar to them, so what they expect is to gain some encouragement and enjoyment. David’s sincerity and warmth are just the main reason to keep more and more visitors staying here and supporting hongen. Besides, as a foreigner, David’s knowledge and belief on life could always help those who lost their way in life, this is also another important reason to keep this forum vivid all the time. Take me as an example, I am always touched by those emotional articles, when my writing has been enjoyed and shared by other friends there, I feel I am needed , loved and accepted, I am even aware of my importance to many people, just like a light in the night, or a piece of wood to a burning fire, those people who have been lit up or warmed would remember the moment and give their light and warmth to others who need .
In fact, it is David who lit me and encouraged me so much that I have written some and given response to other friends who need help indeed in the forum. There are more than 8500 articles in Canuck’s comment now, David’s responses and other passage should be one third of it. We have not only learnt standard English, but learn how to live a healthy life by his personality and knowledge, what’s more, he brings his family---uncle Ben and aunt Mary to this forum which let us reach more native English thoughts and skill.……Human beings, belonged to society at first, is certainly a kind of economic animal, people could not live a good life without considering its benefit. But human is more than an emotional animal, the one who has no emotion is not a real human beings but a machine. I like hongen and its English signal “Human” which means hongen would respect human’s feeling and value. I hope Hongen could not only produce some famous software , but become a garden of our mental world.******************************************************
