First part: Far from Nature
The seven-day National Day holidays have passed already, but the tiredness from the heavy traffic and travel seemed not disappear thoroughly.
Trapped in big city, living in high building, we suffered much by all the byproducts from city modernization: heavy traffic, air pollution, and the noises nearly everywhere and anytime. We are so eager to escape to somewhere we probably enjoy the real nature that we don’t want to miss any possible chance when we have free time. However, it is too hard for us to find the real nature nowadays. We often have to endure for long hours in heavy traffic even before we arrive at our destination. If you are lucky enough to enjoy the comfortable trip arranged by Travel Agent. I am afraid when you arrive at the scene, which you may have been longed for all the time, you will disappointed to find, in the scene, full of tourists like you who admire nature scene so much and want to escape from the uproariousness of city. So in most of your holiday time, you will have to refresh your experience of waiting impatiently after a long queue which you even cannot see the beginning of the lines. How can you have any mood to appreciate the nature beauty?
Unfortunately, I have had this experience a few years ago, it was during same National Day holiday, I took the travel with a renowned Travel Agent to one travel resort: Huang Shan Mountain (Yellow Mountain), the most famous mountain in China, a saying says like this, if you come back from Tai Mountain, you will need not to look at mountains any more; if you come back from Huang Shan Mountain, you will need not to look at any famous high mountains. But when I came back from this famous mountain, I made up my mind not to climb any mountain in any national holidays. It impressed me most not the well-known four sights: oddly shaped pines, spectacular rocky peaks, crystal-clear mountain springs and the sea of clouds covering the highest peaks, but the great number of visitors and the zigzag mountain pathway in moonlight. Though we set out from the foot of the mountain in the morning, we had to spend most of our day in the road to the top of peaks. There were too many visitors crowded in the narrow mountain pathway. Queued after them, we sometimes even could not move forward a little; we waited and waited until the moon rose up, we were still on our midway to the top of mountain where our lodging lied. Thanks for the moonlight leading us to our lodging rooms in the end! Otherwise, we would be more miserable for sleeping in the cold mountain open air. What made the matters worse, because of unclean food and cold air, nearly all group members among us suffered a little diarrhea. This is too far from my dream of being close to real nature.
In my mind, the real nature should be like this, in spring, listening to the twitters of bird carefully in early morning; in summer, watching the clear stream flowing past joyfully; in autumn, seeing the yellow leaves falling from the tree casually; in winter, welcoming the snowflakes dancing in the air randomly with my open arms and warm heart. But I know I will seldom have this pleasure. The nature is changing. I am changing, too. Even if the nature is the same, no placid mood, we cannot really enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Thus the real nature, in someway, has become my golden memory.
