I am an interview training teacher that helps students to get themselves prepared before going to the visa interview. I am glad to share my experience with friends on line and i sincerely hope that my suggestions would be helpful for those who is thinking about applying US visa.

The problems of Chinese students may be summarized as followings:1.they are too complicate-minded, i believe this also reflects Chinese culture. As an F-1 visa applicant, you need to know how to express yourself in a straight-forward way. NEVER NEVER USE THE CHINESE PATTERN OF THINKING. For example, i always ask my students "Why do you go to US", and the answer i got for the first time will always be"the education/technology in US is developed in US". But what the visa officer wants to know in this question is: What is the reason for applying for visa this time? Is it for study, business, or tour?

2. They are too timid. It is just a US visa!! Even if you are rejected, you still have a second chance! Why are you afraid of talking boldly? Americans like students who are bold, independent and simple-minded! REMEMBER THAT IN YOUR MIND

3. The reasons for coming back to China, it is the most difficult part of the visa interview. Everybody prepares delicate sentences, strong reasons and still they can not convince the visa officers. WHY? I really do not think that a student have to prepare a detail-planned reasons for coming back. There are a lot of reasons for coming back to China besides having a good development. Think of something new and attracting.
