Dear all, another student of mine today went to F-1 visa interview today, and was rejected! I would like to share the whole interview with you guys. And i would sincerely appreciate anyone's comment on the interview.
The visa office is the newly arrived American Woman, with short blond hair, she used to be nice, but today she acted very differently. It is my student's second visa interview, "V" represents Visa Officer, "S" represents my student. My student is in Window 2.
V: Are you going to study in US?
S: Yes. I am going to study xxx major in xxx University. I have graduated from a college in China this year with associate degree.
V: Who will furnish you?
S: My parents. My parents are working xxx, they prepared xxx for me. (show the bank statement to her)
V: Besides xxx University, do you have any other choice?
S: yes, xxx in U.K. also accepted me, but i think US is my first choice.
V: If i reject your visa, what other choice do you have?
S: Well, to study in UK.
V: O.K. Tell me three reasons for coming back to China.
S: Well, i have many reasons actually.
V: Just tell me the top three then.
S: I want come back to work in my family business. I do not think that everything in US is better than China. In China i have my relationship, my friends, my culture. The only purpose to US is to study and i will definitely come back.
V: Your answer is almost the same as last time.
S: Yes, but i am telling you the truth, and i do not want to lie to you. I do not want to cheat you by coming up with some new reasons.
V: I am sorry, you can come again when your situation changes.
S: No. What do you want then? I told you i don't want to lie to you, i will come back and the reason is just that simple.
V: Sorry.
S: I am not leaving here if you do not issue me the visa, because i am a qualified student.
V: (talking on the Microphone to people behind my student) every one, please line up in front of Window 4. (And she left Window 2 to Window 4)
The student was then asked to leave the hall by the securities in Consulate.
