DEAR READERS, The life in middle school is hard for us to forget, I have just graduated from junior middle school, and the things which happens in my school life often come into my mind. So I write this essay to commemorate the life then, and commemorate the class I was in.
THE DAYS WE SPENT TOGETHER-----------------------------------------------------DO YOU STILL REMEMBER?THE VOW WE MADE IN FRONT OF THE FLAG OF LEAGUE,THE PRIDE WE FEEL FACING THE NATIONAL FLAG.THE TEARS WITH HAPPINESS,THE FOOTPRINT WE MADE THROUGHOUT OUR GROWTH.EVERYTHING IN ALL,IS WITHIN THE DAYS WE SPENT TOGETHER.------------------------------------------------------
Staring vaguely at the heavy rain, I feel somewhat sentimental. It is hard to describe my complex feeling, which is interwoven by a lot of senses. Although I have graduated from junior middle school, the life during that period of time often occurs to me. I usually think of the indoctrination given by my teachers, think of the friendship between us, think of the days we spent together.
MILITARY TRAINING ----------We Start to Know Each Other
After saying goodbye to primary school study, we all went into middle school, which was a strange and mysterious territory for us then. I can remember the first day when I came into the new class and met my new classmates. All of us were strange to each other, and a friendly expression can be found in the eyes from every one of us. At the first class, our headteacher said to us, “You, each of you come here to study and live together. So from now on, we are no longer strangers.” Her words were very encouraging and stimulating. From that time, a primary friendship between us has come into existence. The military life was very arduous and boring, we were assumed to be realsoldiers, and every day we duplicated to do the same things. Every day when we rushed into our dormitories after eight hours’ training, each of us was exhausted. However, the friendship and unity made us feel much better. We consoled each other, and played games and told stories before going to bed every night, while doing such things, we felt jovial and could temporarily forget our fatigue. Seven days’ military life seemed to be very lengthy to us. On the last day of our training, we said farewell to one another, and we all knew the following days we spent together will be more juicy and colourful.
SPORTS MEETING --------- An Ideal Reflection of Our Unity and Accordance
After spending a few fresh weeks in Junior One, the annual Sports Meetingcame. Although we were not very familiar with others, we trusted each other. Weall had the same notion in our minds that we must cheer for our classmates while they were racing. In the light of such a notion, you could see the students all around the playground, some sitting on the bleachers, some standing beside the track, and some running on the track as athletes. While one student was taking part in a race, all the other classmates cheered for him, making a loud acclamation on the bleachers, like a sudden gust in a placid weather, like a roar in a peaceful night, like a like a billowy wave on the calm sea.
I took part in the 1500-meter race, which seemed quite arduous and challen-ging for a thirteen-year-old child. However, I believed myself, I believed that if I persisted on, anything could be achieved. The race was about to begin, I stood at the starting line, nervous and excited. As the race began, all the athletes rushed out like an arrow. I tried my utmost to run, I found surprisingly that my classmates were standing beside the track, cheering and applauding for me. After two laps, I felt nearly exhausted, my limbs were tired, my paces were ponderous, and my sweat dropped on the ground. Yet, whenever I heard my classmates’ encouragement, I summoned up. The last lap came! I looked around, suddenly the flag of our class greeted me, and it seemed to inspire me. I sped up, attempting the final sprint. Finally, I passed the destination successfully. Meanwhile, my classmates came up to me, Some supported me with hand, and some gave me water to drink, they all congratulated me on my triumph. At that time, my heart was writhing: I am one of my class, I race for my class, and behind me is the support given by all the classmates and teachers.
NATIONAL FLAG CLASS ---------We Are the Best Class in Our School
In our school, National Flag Class was a tradition. This class was in charge of the raising and descending of the national flag. What’s more, the National Flag Class is the most excellent class in the school. Everyone in this class must use his actual behavior to maintain the reputation of the class. After continuous hard work, our class was honorably appointed to be the National Flag Class in the school, which means we should use higher standards to restrict ourselves. Every Monday, at the ceremony of flag raising, we stood in front of the national flag. As the flag rose higher and higher, we felt proud and solemn. Although drops of sweat flew along our cheeks, we stood still, without any actions, because we had a faith that we were the students of the National Flag Class. When school held a meeting or activity, our class was the first to attend, during its procedure, we had the strictest discipline, because we had a faith that we were the students of the National Flag Class. The awareness of the National Flag Class made us rigorous on ourselves because we shouldn’t let down the people who support us.
Being a part of the National Flag Class made everyone of us more patriotic. One student said in her composition, “Every time I see the national flag rising gradually, I will be literally proud that I am a Chinese. Some people may say that China is a poor country or the diathesis of Chinese people isn’t high. Sometimes I may also sigh on some disadvantages of our country. However, just because of this, we ought to use our own hands to recompense the deficiency of our motherland. As part of the National Flag Class, we should cherish this honor, and more important, remember our responsibility in mind.” What clangorous words! What long-range ambitions! The words of this classmate also reveal what we, all the students in our class are thinking. National Flag Class brought us not only honor and fame, but also duty and maturation.
THE NIGHT TO WELCOME THE NEW MILLENNIUM -------The Happiest Moment in Our Junior Life As time passed, our class became more and more united. When we went into Junior Three, the year 2000 was coming. So we used a lot of methods to greet the new year, the new century, and the new millennium. I was deeply impressed by the scene on the night of the last day in1999. At about eleven o’clock that night, all the students and teachers went to the playground to hear the jow of the clock. As the significant moment was coming more and more closely, our minds became excited and anxious. “5,4,3.2.1----”, accompanying the countdown of us, a loud heavy jow from the clock tower spread through all the campus. The new millennium had come, which marked a new epoch in human history, or so in the history of our class. We, all the students in our class were so delighted that we began to dance, including the students who were shy and quiet at ordinary times. We danced, ran, just as if we were mad. Each of us wanted to treasure this precious moment, to enjoy the delightful atmosphere all around, to be intoxicated with one another. We said all kinds of greetings and wishes to each other and played games altogether. The whole playground was like an ocean of joy. I am convinced that if anyone, even if he was a stranger, went into the playground, he would certainly be infected by our enthusiasm and passion. The campus that night was so florid a landscape that none of us would ever forget it. We played until nearly three o’clock. That night I could really feel vivacity side of our class.
DAYS TO PREPARE FOR THE EXAM --------Vital Moments for Us After the never-to-be-forgotten night we spent to overcome the New Year, we were in a new period that is very important to us. We must prepare for the exam. In some degrees, our scores in the exam would decide which senior school we will enter. So every one of us was very nervous at the exam, even the boys who were naughty before became very assiduous at their study. We all knew we must strive, otherwise we might be washed out. The atmosphere in the class became very tense, and sometimes it looked concretionary. We felt suppressed at that time, as if all the weight of earth-clods were pressing on our minds. However, on the contrary, in these days our class became more united. We all convinced that we must help each other and overcome the difficulties together. Anyway, we were all friends in adversity. So a good atmosphere formed in our class, which no longer exerted depressive feeling on us, but made us feel more relaxed and energetic. We concentrated on our studies more attentively. The good students began to help those students who were not good in exams, with the hope and benediction that they would make further progress in the exam. At that time, if you went into our classroom, you could see a heart-stirring scene, we didn’t have any fear on the exam, but became more confident and cooperative. In this period of time, the spirit presented in our class was the spirit of solidarity, which was most important in adversities.
GRADUATION CEREMONY -------The Last Chance For us to Meet Together
After the exam, we departed from each other for a few days, and then the graduation ceremony came, which was the last chance for us to assemble. So we allcherished this precious opportunity very much. We all took part in the ceremony with a light-hearted mood, regardless of the scores we got in the exam. On the ceremony, our headteacher said to us, “We have lived together for three years, all though three years is not a long time, we have established deep emotion on one another. No matter which senior school you will go into, no matter what your life will be in the future, remember you are once a student of this class, and remember the days we spent together forever.” Hearing these words, we all felt it was somewhat brutal and heartrending for us to leave each other. On the ceremony, we played together, with both the feelings of the joy of assembling and the sorrow of departure. After the ceremony, we didn’t leave immediately, we took photos for each other, we signed for each other, and we said blessing and benediction to each other. We wanted to keep the smiles and images of others forever, we wanted to keep the handwritings of others forever, and we wanted to keep the days we spent together forever.
EPILOGUE My life in junior school has ended, but I can never forget the time I spentduring that period of time. We have departed from each other, yet, I believe our hearts are linked together, because we will never forget the days we spent together. In our future life, no matter it will bring us tears or smiles, regardless of success or failure we may make, we will think of our uperexcellent and solidified class, think of the eternal friendship between us, and think of the things which we were endowed by our class: the sincerity while treating others, thestruggle facing difficulties and adversities, and the spirit of never giving up.
