专辑介绍:
这是由VeryCD - 典狱长提供的320KBPS的MP3文件.本专辑根据Graeme Revell曾经指挥并独立创作的不同的电影原声,进行挑选汇总成的这张<Saint>合辑.近些年来,Graeme Revell不断的为各种好莱坞大片进行电影配乐,比如说即将上映的影片<until the end of the world>,还有广为熟知的作品有<tomb raider><street fighter><sin city><the siege><red planet><phoenix><out of time><the adventures of sharkboy and lavagirl>等等...

Revell's talents here are the key to watching the film. I've spent hours watching the DVD just to hear the music since my original audio cassette disintergrated. I'd like to find a cd version, but it's not currently available. Anyway, back to the music. If one listens carefully, one hears the layers of Simon Templar's past, present and future being revealed by Revell's masterful compositions. It is unusual to find such depth in film scores today and, as a result, Mr. Revell is probably not as well known as he should be. Just listen to the opening title sequence and the love scene between Simon and Emma in the restaurant as they describe one another. The music explains more than the dialog.

This and "Conspiracy Theory" are, to my mind, the greatest modern action scores. A poignant, playful, perfect love theme, brilliant action music unlike anything else I've heard and the added bonus of the music from the finale which was cut after the film did badly with test audiences. (Of course, the fact that Elizabeth Shue died halfway through the original version might have had something to do with the average viewer not liking it) Without this ending, the film never seemed to conclude musically, hear Mr. Revell's fantastic music here and see how it would have.
作者介绍:
Since Graeme Revell first appeared on the film scoring scene with his chilling score to the Australian thriller Dead Calm, he has become one of the most sought-after and innovative film composers in the world.
Revell has collaborated with a wide range of film makers including George Miller, John Woo, Michael Mann, Ted Demme, Philip Noyce, and Robert Rodriguez.
A keen observer of both traditional ethnic music and natural sound, Revell started his career after picking up on rhythms in patient vocalizations at an Australian mental hospital where he was working as an orderly. He incorporated recordings of the patients into his music. His experiments with recordings of insects and industrial machinery led him to create the early industrial rock band SPK.
Revell's film scoring career has covered a wide range of styles and genres for such films as The Crow, Chinese Box (Winner-Best Score at the Venice Film Festival), The Negotiator, Daredevil, and Sin City.
