Letter from Mom

Hello, my dear son, A new green spring is coming. You are growing up to be 19, a charming age, isn’t it? Congratulations to be a real adult. Do not try to acquire any superiority, The female feebleness maintains could acknowledge your merits to keep your pure, still and benevolent virtue as the excellence of water, Complications ravel many things, But they are deep, unfathomable and obscure. So, believe in primordial simplicity, We always spend toil of excessive effort, just result in ruins of extravagance, and indulgence. Use your mind to have your own opinions, always answer with the ready ‘yes’, not flattering ‘yea’. Don’t be rude, Everyone is equal, Show faith to your friends, rejoice in your helper especially be kindly filial to the elders, Their experience will be your most valuable treasure. Do not wallow in luxury, You may get inexhaustible inspiration only by living the multitude’s life and hard physical labour. But rest your brain a little, Always enjoy the peace, and the feeling of ease after hard study. While striving for the success, the heaven will empty your mind, hollow your belly, weaken your will, and strengthen your bones just to blunt your sharp points, take it easy. Do not endure the filth. Show your manifestation of anger, You can’t excite everyone’s desires, keep them from presuming to act continuing, You have your own personal character and private benefit. It is that existence and non-existence give birth the one to the other, Everything become harmonious through the relation of one with another. When you are dejected and forlorn, Maybe you keep the balance for another’s happiness. The kingliness of character of a real man is righteousness. The ugliness begins with deceiving. Do not discard your wisdom and renounce your benevolence. Do not be self-complacent any time, Remember, the skilful binder uses no strings or knots. To be the pure stream and the spacious vale, To be a real young guy, Do not be feared or irresolute, The youth is full of unwearying vigour. Be brave to the single to face your life, Be proud to be my son, Mom’s love always here.
