Here's another way to use your creativity:
As I know how to sew, I have a dressmaker's dummy on which to fit clothes. I
have begun to dress my dressmaker's form in my clothing. I coordinate wholeoutfits. Now I have decided to begin a notebook in which I record good
combinations. This is more demanding than you might think, but it is very useful when you need to go somewhere and don't have any idea what to wear.
Just look up your little card file of best outfits for various occasions including which accessories will be best, and begin to dress yourself. You'll
begin to acquiare the reputation of being rather elegant. :-)) (Please don't judge me by the terrible brown dress picture that can be seen here on the forum!

Incidentally, begin to collect scarves, tops, costume jewellery, you really
love. Keep them all together, safely. You may do best for this in a vintage store, and it is a lot of fun to hunt for buried treasure. You will collect
some pieces you will love all of your life. Begin to coordinate your wardrobearound them. You will start to have style, rather than simply fashion. Tuck the right scarf and gloves into the coat pocket, and so on. It may be possibleto make photographic records of your pieces and what to pair them with. That'sthe way it's done in tv studios. It's possible to take a picture of the wholeoutfit and use it for your own guidance for what looks best as an outfit.
They do it with pictures and notes in clear plastic envelopes kept in notebooks.
It all depends on how interested you are and how many clothing and accentitems you have. This practise can show you what you lack. What you havetoo much of. What you should get rid of. It's useful and creative.
Try to make whatever you see through your windows beautiful. The other day I
saw a mural that can be applied to glass. It allows any window to have the vista of a marvellous view or a lovely garden. Window boxes and what you mayput into your balcony or yard play a large part in this. If you get interested
you will always pay attention to where you live and what you see from yourwindows. If you buy or own your own home, over the years this will pay off foryou because you will develop interesting vistas, focal points and littleunique areas. One window may see a small grove of trees. (your "forest".)
On another side you may look out upon your "meadow." A third side may beencouraged to be natural with wild plants. Maybe another side will be amore formal flower garden. It takes years, but not a lot of money. Ittakes imagination and creativity. This is well worth considering. And besure to make what is on your window sills part of the view.
Pay attention to the placement of furniture and how things look together and balance small groups so that colour and form look best to your eye. You could bring out and put away things for the various seasons, so you have interesting changes. Towels don't need to be expensive, so in summer you could put away
hot coloured towels and glasses and ornaments, and so on. Bring them back in winter. That kind of thing. You can have a plastic bin for each holiday
season and gradually acquire bits and pieces that you can use to decorate foreach.
So I think there will be one more post on this subjecjt. Part 5.
Best wishes for a happy, so-called lonely, life, Mary
