研究方向将信息技术（控制与信号处理、并行计算、嵌入式系统）与航空航天具体实践结合，探索电控制（主要是等离子体控制器）在流体控制与流噪声控制中的应用，研究实时控制和数字信号处理技术及其航空航天应用。
黄迅博士曾是欧盟科研项目安静飞机设计（TIMPAN: Technology to IMProveme Airframe Noise）和等离子体在空气动力学应用（PlasmAero: Plasma for Aerodynamics）两个项目的子课题负责人，对嵌入式系统设计，航空噪声并行计算建模及其流体和声学试验有丰富经验，与英国南安普敦大学空中客车技术中心联系紧密。
主要参与和主持项目1. 航空器流噪声研究和利用等离子体作动器主动流体控制起落架噪声。
2. 航空发动机风扇噪声传播并行计算模拟。
3. 风力发电机控制器在系统仿真和实时控制。
4. 某飞行器导引头高速数据采集和信号处理系统设计。
5. 数字视频DVB系统高速数据采集和信号处理系统设计[1]。
