One of my dreams is to travel around the world. I’m very lucky cuz
I’ve already had a good start, I guess. When I was younger, mom
always made it a point to bring me to some place new during summer
vacation. We’ve done a lot of traveling including many beautiful
places in Europe (Paris, St. Tropez, Cannes, Monaco, Vienna,
Milan), Asia (Shanghai, Beijing, Ning Bo, Shen Zhen, Guang Zhou, Si
Chuan, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Tokyo), and North America (Toronto,
San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas).
我的梦想之一是环游世界。我很幸运，因为我想我有一个好的开始。我小时候，妈妈把每年暑假带我去不同地方旅游当成一件很重要的事情。于是我们去欧洲很多风景很美的地方旅游过（巴黎，圣特鲁佩斯，嘎纳，摩纳哥，维也纳，米兰），也去过很多亚洲的胜地（上海，北京，宁波，深圳，广州，四川，吉隆坡，新加坡，东京），还有很多北美的地方（多伦多，旧金山，纽约，洛杉矶，拉斯维加斯）。
I’ve been to some of these places more than once~ but most of
them… I don’t even recall ever going there! You see, I love
traveling and naturally, I love being a tourist. I’m totally the
nerdy tourist with the camera around her neck, flipping through her
“1000 Everyday Phrases in insert language of place being
visited”, while trying to pay for the over-priced
tourist-spot-paraphernalia! Haha~ Not only do I enjoy going to all
the tourist spots, but I also enjoy walking around the REALLY local
areas, where I can truly get a taste of what that city feels like,
eat the local foods… blah blah blah…
其中很多地方我去过还不止一次，但是他们中的大多数，很多时候我几乎不记得曾经去过！你知道，我是多么的热爱旅游和自然，我很喜欢成为一个游客。我就是那种脖子上挂着照相机，故意用当地话来表达意思，甚至还会去买旅游点纪念品的那种游人。我不仅仅喜欢去那些旅游胜地，还喜欢去非常有当地特色的地方转转，这样我才能真正体会到这个城市的味道，吃最本色的食物，等等。
But you see, mom’s broken her tail bone before and ever since
then, she’s had difficulty walking long distances, so this means
no walking around/lining up @ tourist spots… Mom’s an adventurous
eater, cuz seems like wherever we go, we always end up eating
Chinese food! Aiya… it’s quite amazing actually – mom always
manages to find the best Chinese Restaurant in whichever city we go
to~ so, I couldn’t ever truthfully tell you which city around the
world has the best food, cuz I’ve probably only ever tried the
food @ their Chinese restaurants… At least I can garuntee good
Chinese food~ =P
但是你们也知道，自从妈妈摔到尾骨以后，走的时间长了就不舒服。这就意味着我们不能去要步行很久或者要排队的景点。妈妈是个很勇于尝试吃的人，因为我们每到一处总是以吃中餐结束！哎呀，很神奇的是，妈妈总是能想方设法找到当地最好吃的中餐馆。所以我没办法告诉你哪个地方的东西最好吃，因为我每次都吃的是他们的中餐馆，但是至少我可以告诉你哪里的中餐最好吃！
And I’m not
complaining, cuz I’m soooo grateful to be able to have such
privileges – but I remember telling mom one time before we went on
a trip to Tokyo, “Mom, we don’t need to stay at such a fancy
hotel~ As long as it’s clean, has a shower to shower in, bed to
sleep in, we probably wouldn’t be spending our time inside the
hotel anyway, right?”
我也从来不抱怨，因为我很感激我有这样的特权。我记得我们又一次我们去东京之前，我和妈妈说，我们没必要住那么好的饭店，只要干干净净的，可以洗澡可以睡觉就够了。我们不会花很多时间在饭店的不是吗？
Wrong. Hahahaha~ Truth is, whenever I travel with my mom, the only
places I get to see are the most beautiful hotels in that area, and
the best Chinese restaurants in town… I wish we could re-do those
trips so we can actually *see* and *feel* those places. When I
start to earn my own money, I’ll make the travel plans and I’ll
take mom traveling with me! That way, we’ll do the trips my way~
haha… (dun worry, mother, I won’t make u walk too much –
exercise is good anyway! =P)
错了！哈哈哈哈，事实就是，无论何时，只要和妈妈一起旅行，我能看见的就是最好的饭店和当地最棒的中餐馆！我很希望我们能重游这些地方，这样我们就能真正的看到和体会这些地方的风味。当我开始存钱的时候，我要制作旅行计划并且带妈妈一起旅行！这样的话，就可以按照我的方式来旅行了！哈哈哈（别担心，妈妈，我不会让你不行太久的，毕竟适量的运动是有益的！=P）
