相信大家对大名鼎鼎的哈勃(Hubble)太空望远镜并不陌生,它是世界上最大、图像最清晰的天文望远镜。位置在地球的大气层之上,因此获得了地基望远镜所没有的好处——影像不会受到大气湍流的扰动,视宁度绝佳又没有大气散射造成的背景光,还能观测会被臭氧层吸收的紫外线。于1990年发射之后,已经成为天文史上最重要的仪器。已经填补了地面观测的缺口,帮助天文学家解决了许多根本上的问题,对天文物理有更多的认识。哈勃的哈勃超深空视场是天文学家曾获得的最深入(最敏锐的)的光学影像。
本压缩包内图片是NASA(美国航空航天总局)及ESA(欧洲航空局)在欧洲的官方网站上点击量最高的100张超高清原始图片的集合。里面有十分美丽的太空星云,如蟹状星云、猫眼星云,也有难得一见的土星极光,还包括一些十分有趣的太空景象,如太空之爱,天体烟花等。多数图片拍摄于2004年-2008年,据传今年(2009年)5月19日,“亚特兰蒂斯”号的宇航员对其进行的维护有可能是对其进行的最后一次维护,因此这些图片极具收藏价值。
图片最小尺寸为406×406,最大尺寸为惊人的29566×14321(4.23亿像素),最大一张图片有345MB,其中将近一半的图片均大于10MB。大于100MB的图片用Windows照片库无法查看,建议选用Photoshop查看。
