欧洲卡车模拟终于在2008的盛夏献身。有别于SCS开发的18轮大卡车系列，这个版本广纳建议，弥补了18轮大卡车系列的不足和缺点，使卡车模拟游戏更上一层楼。增加了真实的后视镜,AI变得更加人性化,加强了布景素材的真实美观,修改雨天特效,采用了进阶玩法，使游戏耐玩度大大增强,完全按照欧洲的交通制度，采用电子监控违章，还有很多新惊喜．

极卡也是如此，他的游戏模式较欧卡来説，让进阶玩法更进一步。如果说欧卡还是在进阶玩法和自由模式中模棱两可的话，那极卡可以说彻底使进阶玩法佔了主导。他基於北美洲、南美洲和澳洲的极限运输路綫，以各种各样的难题考验著玩家的熟练性。在画面上看，极卡又让18轮大卡车更上一层楼，不仅在环境素材上下了不小的功夫，而且沿用了不少前作的优点。还有，细节问题scs公司也没有略掉。气煞声、卡车两边的真实后视镜和天空的飞机、鸟类等，让极卡成为了18轮大卡车系列新的里程碑。
硬盘版安装心得:
首先解压缩出来了一个文件夹，有600MB左右。
进入那个目录，
我的安装步骤是: 首先随便运行了一个分卷，结果最后提示了说有文件被破坏. 别着急，我后来又解压缩了最后一个压缩包，也就是位于最底部的一个压缩包，解压缩后进入解压出来的目录，点击play，游戏就开始了.
