Went to 泸沽湖 from 丽江 just like most of visitors. 住里格 for RMB 10 per night at the very first Hotel. Clean bed and sheet but does not have hot water. Did the 篝火晚会 like every one else and went to bed around 10 PM.
The next moring, we got up around 7:30 AM to catch a glen of sun rise. Around 8:30, most of others went to have breakfast and 5 of us took off to visit the village. We started out trying to go to the 公路 but got lost. Fortunately, we met a local lady who told us to follow the power line. By about 9:30 we finally got there and were too tired to walk back. We asked the locals and, to our surprises, we got three beautiful young girls to send us back to 里格 via boat for RMB 15 each. The whole trip took 45 minutes.
Once we got into the boat, we started 对歌. OMG, one of the local girls has such an incredible voice. Close your eye and image, we were on the lake, only the sound of 山歌 echoing over a mirror like lake. It was intoxicating and there is simply no words could fully descripe the 感受!!!! BTW, I am still waiting to recieve the recordings from one of our boat riders.
