This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Distributed Computing and Networking, ICDCN 2006 - formerly known as IWDC International Workshop on Distributed Computing) - held in Guwahati, India in December 2006.
The 29 revised full papers and 30 revised short papers presented together with 5 invited keynote talks were carefully reviewed and selected from 245 submissions.
