Born in 1954, Zong Jianye is a visiting professor at the East- ern Arts Academy, vice president of Shijiazhuang Callig-raphers'Association and president of the Calligraphers' Asso- ciation of Xinji City. His calligraphic works have been twice displayed in Japan and have re- peatedly won China's national and provincial prizes. An enthusiastic teacher of calligraphy, he is also the author of CallligraphyABC pub-lished by the Xinhua Press, Beijing.
