内容简介Book Description
Sometimes life is P.U.
Junie B.'s having a rough week. First she got punishment for shooting off her mouth in kindergarten. And now she's in big trouble again! 'Cause Monday is Job Day, and Junie B. told her class that she's got the bestest job of all. Only, what the heck is it?
FromBooklist
Gr. 2-4. In another hilarious, easy chapter book about Junie B. Jones, the irrepressible kindergartner veers from catastrophe to rapture and back again. This time she has trouble deciding what to be on Job Day. Older kids will laugh at Junie's mistakes and misunderstandings, especially with language, and they'll remember their own bewilderment and bloopers. She gets punished for shooting off her big fat mouth ("Punishment is the school word for sitting at a big table all by yourself"). She's frank that the Pledge of Allegiance is a jumble for her ("I don't know what that dumb story is even talking about"). She's heartbroken to discover that Mickey Mouse isn't real. When she hates, she hates (even her "bestest" friend); when she's humiliated, she can't bear it ("I hided my head"). Brunkus' energetic drawings pick up the slapstick action and the spunky comic hero.

作者简介Barbara Park is one of today's funniest and best-loved writers for middle graders. Her novels, which include Dear God, HELP!!! Love Earl; Skinnybones; The Kid in the Red Jacket; and Mick Harte Was Here have won numerous children's book awards. Barbara thinks that the wonderful thing about writing humor is that she is able to deal with serious issues in a more lighthearted way. Barbara's fans always want to know whether or not her characters are based on her own children (she has two sons) -- in fact, they are not. But having her sons has made it easier for her to know how kids talk and think. What matters most to Barbara is that her books are bringing a few smiles to her readers.
Barbara lives in Paradise Valley, Arizona, with her husband, Richard. She holds a B.S. from the University of Alabama.
