上次畫眉在北緯1.5度形成之前,是因為當時在南海最南端滯留的雷雨系統,正好就夾在強風轉向的地方,它的北、西、南三邊受到寒流強風反時鐘式環流的圍繞,整整持續了四天之久,長時間的交互作用終於使得原本微弱短命的雷雨系統,像陀螺一般旋轉了起來,而形成了畫眉。
但2004年Agni在如此低緯度形成時,顯然沒有這個機制
更令人驚訝的是,其中一幅Quickscat圖片顯示,Agni的中心在0.5S附近,保持著反時針的環流
至今仍未有人敢下結論,JTWC的年報只是輕輕帶過
