Q (Laurel): about The Scene in season 1 finale, slap sex?
A (Laurel): I talked about it before but there Tina ultimately tried to take power over, Toni Goldwin directed it and he was very sensitive. It was a hard scene to film, we spent all day shooting it. It was very choreographed, emotionally spontaneous and in the moment. It was very dark and was probably uncomfortable for people who were watching it. It was a private moment for those two women; they hurt each other and were in a raw, dark place, full of sadness. Sometimes in same sex it’s not just light, soft music, Ilene wanted to show rougher side of relationship, darker side.
And this is when their time was over, more applause and cheers and our lovely ladies left the stage.
