英语改错

we are quite sure that Mr.Smith is a man to depend.

when his mother entered the room, he pretended to do his homework attentively.

第一句，depend后加on ，因为depend是一个不及物动词，不能直接加宾语

第二句，pretened to be doing，上面的兄台那样改是错的，这里强调正在进行的是do，而不是pretend
