江南大学医药学院创建于2007年6月，是在江南大学原医学院和江南大学生物工程学院原生物制药系的基础上联合重组而成。学院设有护理学系、生物制药系，拥有一支水准高、素质好、结构合理的师资队伍，现有教职员工52人，有专任教师36人，其中教授8人，副教授14人，讲师11人。已取得博士学位的教师15人。此外，还聘请了包括"太湖学者"等一大批富有科教能力和实践经验的专家学者担任学院兼职教师。学院目前拥有7500M2的教学、科研和办公用房，可为21门相关课程开设173个实验。学院目前设有一个"微生物与生化药学"硕士学位点和"护理学、生物制药工程"两个四年制本科专业。年招收全日制在校本科生180余人，硕士研究生20余人。
生物制药系是无锡市生物医药技术服务公共平台的主要依托单位，拥有1500M2的实验室用房，下设有分子药理学研究室、制药工程研究室、药代动力学研究室、药物化学与药物分析研究室和天然活性产物与天然药物研究室等5个研究室。近5年承担或主参了包括973、863、国家自然科学基金等12项重大科研项目。在申报国家新药证书、申报国家发明专利、完成企业委托项目及在国内外重要刊物发表论文等方面，取得多项重要成果。
护理学系设有1个研究室，主要研究方向为护理教育、临床护理、心理护理及护理管理。拥有1000M2的实验室用房，包括护理示教室、4个模拟病房、外科模拟手术室、模拟急救室、模拟产房、儿科及新生儿病房、模拟五官科病房、健康评估、急救两个多媒体实验室、心理咨询室、2个模拟护理站等18个房室。拥有多种国内外先进护理教学模型和仪器设备，包括高级急救模型、多媒体体格检查技能训练教学系统等具有高仿真度和互动功能的智能化教学模型，可为护理专业实践教学的提供基本保障。英文简介：Brief Introduction of School of Medicine and Pharmaceutics
Established in June, 2007, School of Medicine and Pharmaceutics is a young institute combined by former Department of Molecular and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from School of Biotechnology and former School of Medicine. With Department of Nursing, Department of Bio-Pharmaceutics, it possesses 52 staffs, among them, there are 8 professors, 14 associated professors, 11 lectures. 15 of them possess Ph. D. degree. Besides, a lot of specialists and scholars, including "Taihu Lake Scholar", are employed as part-time lecturers. Currently possessing 7500m2 academic, experimental as well as administrative facilities and delivering 173 experiments for 21 related courses, the school delivers two undergraduate programs, Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Engineer in Pharmaceutical Engineering, and one graduate program, Master of Medicine in Microbial and Biochemical Pharmaceutics now.
As one of the principle member units of Wuxi Common Platform for Bio-Pharmaceuticals Technical Service, The Department of Bio-Pharmaceutics is constituted by 5 research divisions: Division of Molecular Pharmacology, Division of Pharmaceutical Engineering, Division of Pharmacokinetics, Division of Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Pharmaceutical Analysis and Division of Bioactive Natural Products & Pharmaceuticals. It totally possesses 1500m2 laboratories. The team members take charge or take part in 12 research projects, including some projects from 973 Program, 863 Program or NSF Program from Chinese Government. Many important efforts have been made in applying for National New Drug Certificate, National Invention Patent, completing projects consigned by enterprises, and publishing papers on national and international journals.
The research division under the leading of Department of Nursing focuses on Nursing Education, Clinic Nursing, Psychological Nursing as well as Nursing Management. Department of Nursing possesses 1000m2 specially equipped facilities, including 1 Demonstration Classroom for Nursing, 4 Mock Wards, 1 Mock Operation Room, 1 Mock Emergency Room, 1 Mock Delivery Room, 1 Pediatric Ward & Neonatal Units, 1 Mock E. E. N. T. & S. Ward, 1 Multimedia Labs for Health Assessment, 1 Multimedia Labs for Emergency, 1 Psychological Counseling Room, 2 Mock Nursing Stations, equipped with various advanced intelligent nursing teaching and training models and instruments, including advanced emergency model, multimedia physical examination skill teaching and training system.
