The best way of showing your love for our forum
As one of the oldest and the most faithful members of this family, I am so happy to see so many new friends are attracted and are joining in--our forum will turn gray and dull if there’s no new members’ arrival. Thanks to David and Mary and our young hostess, Jenny, it’s their industrious work that makes the home clean and healthy and always full of studiousness. They deserve the warmest compliment in the world. Lots of new friends fall in love with Cunuck’s Comments right at the moment they come in and read some interesting articles. Many of you want to tell us how greatly the forum has been influencing you and how deep your feeling is to the forum, don’t you? Then what’s the best way of letting others know you love the forum? First, let’s know you care about the forum. Come here as often as you can; read here as often as you can; write here as often as you can; reply to others here as often as you can. What is the best way to maintain a musical instrument? To play it, to practise it every day. What is the best way to learn English? To learn it everyday and to use it everyday. What is the best way to keep yourself fit? To exercise everyday. Nothing is different when it comes to how to care about our forum---come here and read and write. I believe it’s the best way of keeping everything fit and full of refreshment. Then, always try your best to be serious and formal. Keep in mind what Mary tells us the easiest and fastest way to improve your English---try your best to use capitals and punctuation marks correctly. There is no shortcut in English learning, but if a shortcut is really required, that is the shortcut! We are all English learners, we are all so happy and all so lucky to have such kind native speakers like David, Mary, and Ben around us, aren’t we? Then value it. Something we cannot do very well is that our English is so poor that we cannot express our ideas clearly and accurately from time to time, is that we always make mistakes about grammar or slang or idiom or even correct form of wording. It all doesn’t matter, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Well, there is something we can do very well without any problem, that is, use capital letters when it’s needed, use correct punctuations and spaces, use correct spellings. In other words, to always cross the “t’s” and dot the “i’s”, to make it sure which is “q” and which is “p”. You can do this, without a doubt, can’t you? You know very well that the only thing you are to do is just to read it again before you put it on. You might not be able to make a profound remark or write a sensational big work, though, this is right what you are able to, then do it well, do what you can do first. Don’t waste time cooking up excuses for your carelessness and laziness, that’s not why you are here. Furthermore, this attitude shows your respect for others, for your readers. You can't deny this, can you? Now it comes the last piece, and the last one is always not the least one. How to show my love for Cunuck’s Comments, how? Since the moment I saw Jenny’s notice about the forum’s third birthday, I’ve been thinking about the question. All in a sudden, an idea came to me---the best way to show my love is my progress in English learning! Why is Cunuck’s Comments being here? Why is David and Jenny spending so much time and energy on this forum for? Why is Mary offering her wise advice on life, on English regardless of tiredness and tiresome job of correcting others for? The answer is our improvement in English! What else can it be? They are trying to help us so kindly and so warmly and so enthusiastically, how can you show your love for the forum if you are just standing in the old point instead of going forward? How can you tell you love the forum but your English is not improving? There must be some improvement if you are really studying hard! You certainly don’t make any progress if you just monkey around or your just study by fits and starts. Really can’t be simpler, I think---the best of the best way of showing your love for the forum is to prove you are studying hard, you are improving! Show it to us, show it to yourself. There’re many ways to show one’s love. However, I believe what I said above is the very way which really hits the point. :)
Also for answering Jenny’s suggestion. Panpanpan.
