爱在云南(二)
Chapter 2. Food and Residence
As a typical Chinese, eating typical regional food is absoutly a reserved issue of the tour. Here in Yunnan, you surely found the right place. Resturants are everywhere, saling many vaireties of food with very cheap prices, especially cheap for we people from Shenzhen, almost the most expensive city to live in China. Besides the famous Yunnan rice noodles, Hotpot seems very popular in this South West region. Tianma Chicken hotpot, Wild mushrooms hotpot, beancurve hotpot, etc. can easily satisfy your good appeitite. You can find resturants doing these dishes in Kunming without paying any effort on searching. We three friends together ordered a very large hotpot of Tianma Chicken; actually it's also with so many differents kinds of Chinese hebal medicine. It's too much for us three to finish it, however, when we got the bill, it's so surprising, since it only cost us 50 yuan. Damn, in Shenzhen, only a very small bowl of noodles can cost me more than 15 yuan, espcially in the very disgusting News road. :)
In Lijiang, I strongly recommend a very good resturant to you. It's being operated by a Naxi nationality family. They r very nice people, offering very nice traditional lacal food with very cheap prices. The master of the family, a 24-year-old young guy is also a tour guide, so he can give you so many useful tourist information. You can also ask him to buy the tickets to the tourism places or to the traditional Naxi Music concert with a much lower price. However, it's a very small resturant, so I cannot remember the name of it. Here is the add: in front of an inn called oldtown inn, the inn where I lived. It is in the fringe of the oldtown. Hope you can find it.
As to the residence, ours are not so bad, an two-bed ensuite with only 40 yuan per night. But the location is not so ideal since it's not in the center of the oldtown. At last day of our trip in Lijiang, we by accident find a very nice inn with a good view on the halfway to the top of the lijiang oldtown. It only costs 80 yuan per night as well. Do think about it!
