当John Riddoch在南澳发现一块十分著名的terra rossa土壤，并在那里成功栽种了他的葡萄树之后，于1866年建立了Wynns Coonawarra庄园。在1901年他死之后，葡萄园就闲置下来了，直到1951年被Samuel和David Wynn买下来。

John Riddoch founded Wynns Connawarra Estate in 1866 after Riddoch noticed a small strip of the famous ‘terra rossa’ soil in South Australia where he found his vines prospered. After Riddoch’s death in 1901 the vineyards lay idle until being purchased and revived in 1951 by Samuel and David Wynn.
They renamed the property ‘Wynns Coonawarra Estate’ and successfully built it into what it is today-the regions pre-eminent wine producer and largest single vineyard holder. Their wines are considered benchmarks for the district, lauded for their consistent quality and depth of flavour. The Coornawarra region is relatively tiny-only 15km long and 2km at its widest point. Its most famous feature is the terra rossa soil-a rich red topsoil that lies over limestone.
Coonawarra’s climate is cool and ensures is long ripening period that is critical for slowly developing the intense flavours and complexity in the grapes.

Tasting Note：
The palate has up-front, rich plum and red berry Cabernet fruit leading to a soft, fleshy mid-palate from the Merlot. It finishes with spices from the Shiraz, resulting in a very complex and harmonious wine. A beautifully integrated, light oak background has added soft tannins to the lingering fruit flavours.
