One of the esntial commonali-ties uniting all mankind is the necessity for shelter. At the same time, regional differences continue to exist, enrich, and invigor-ate the global discussion on residential architecture.
This book is therefore organized into chapters devoted to analyzing simi-larities and differences that unite and separate the myriad solutions currently being explored on all six continents around the world.
作者简介
Casey C.M．Mathewson studied ar-Chitecture in Oregon and Stuttgart,tn 1988．he founded mab-mathewson architektur berlin(www.ma-b．net)，an institute devoted to building and re-search in architecture．The themes of his publications include human focus in architectural design，urban design in Germany,and the history of residential architecture．
